An Ellsworth man has died following a fire and explosion that happened on earlier this week.

The man died Thursday as a result of severe burn injuries caused by a propane explosion Tuesday, according to officials.

According to the State Fire Marshal’s Office, it appears the explosion originated in a cabinet beneath the propane range.
