How to Start a Run/Walk Program
Run for one minute. Walk for three minutes. Repeat this five times or about 20 minutes, two to three days a week. After three to four weeks, or once you feel ready, cut your three-minute walk down to two minutes. After another three to four weeks, or once you feel ready, increase one of the run/walk days to 30 minutes instead of 20.
About 35 minutes into the London Marathon, I found myself in a good running groove. My legs felt strong, my stride relaxed, and my breathing easy. I can do this! I told myself. I was relieved to find a solid rhythm after the first few tough miles.

Walk for Peace public gathering in Decatur delayed | Details
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - The public gathering has been pushed back to 5 p.m., according to the City of Decatur. It was originally scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. As of 2:30 p.m., the monks were still at Porter Sanford III Performing Arts & Community Center, which is where they stopped for lunch.
