New tonearm wiring, new RCA jacks, special attention to the trip mechanism, repair to the balance arm.... Another nice looking VM #Zenith. We see a lot of these but that doesn't mean they are bad units. They just need some TLC, and with the improved replacement parts should be good indefinitely. At one point VM was producing 200,000 record changers a year for Zenith. The rubber driver/saddle/yoke had fallen out of the cartridge and the customer amazingly still had it, so we were able to put it back on with a tiny spot of superglue on each blade to hold it in place. MORE 78 FUN! Here's that VM built for Philco. You know, I forgot to look at the date code on it but I'm assuming it's 1962-1964 based on the rotary drive system and style. Has a nice floating cartridge set up that somebody has already had out and they are really hard to get the delicate float back after they've been tampered with, but we got some of it back. Cute Little base model VM for Zenith. I don't think I've ever seen one with the 10 inch platter before. Standard list of things to get it up and running, AC switch was shot, idler, and we put a new cartridge in it. Before anybody says anything, no these late model all plastic pivoting cartridges are no longer available.
